Freedom! As a Christian, what does this word mean to you? Does it mean that you have the opportunity to do whatever you want in life? Some Christians would say that to be free is to be set apart to enjoy an atmosphere of peacea peace that Our Heavenly Father showers upon us daily. Yes, we are free in the fullness of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior! This means that we no longer have to live in bondage or be held captive by the worlds strongholds and yokes of slavery. Whether you are a man or a woman, young or old, there are times when you will be judged by your past mistakes or shortcomings. Satan wants to judge and condemn you for the things that you have done in the past, but Jesus Christ wants to set you free! There is true forgiveness when you call on the name of Jesus, repent of your sins, and allow the word of God to direct and shape you into the godly man or woman that He has predestined you to be. Why did Jesus shed His blood on Calvary ? He died for you and me! Jesus set the pathway for VICTORY in every Christian life. Galatians 5:1 says, It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. Paul emphasized that Jesus Christ graciously gives freedom in every believers life today. This kind of freedom leads to mature responsibility and holiness before God through the power of the Holy Spirit that is within you. All believers must not only possess this deep strength of freedom and liberty by standing firm on the principles of Christ freedom, but every Christian must also be diligent, committed, and persistent in their freedom by meditating on Gods word day and night. (Psalm 1:2) Jesus Christ is the way to true freedom, the truth of all fabrication, and the Light of the world. (John 9:5)
